Testimonials
To the Staff of AquaTherapies:
I would like to start by saying "thank you," with all my heart, for coming to West Tennessee. You are providing a service that is long overdue and have a professional staff that is second to none.
Since I am able to exercise in the water with the machine you provide, I have improved my overall health. I would like to thank you staff for their caring and guidance in the use of the machines. I can see for myself that all of the members are benefitting from you program. And I can see some of the results.
Once again, I will say that you are a Godsend for all of West Tennessee.
Respectively,

To whom it my concern:
I have been stiff for many years even having difficulty turning my head while I drive. My chiropractor sent me to AquaTherapies, who have been working with me for a little over a month and now I have much better range of motion in my neck and low back.
I would recommend them to anyone.

To whom it may concern:
I have been having trouble with my hip and leg since May of this year. I have been to my regular physician twice, 2 orthopedic doctors, a neurosurgeon and 1 arthritis doctor.
I have had these tests done: X-Ray, 2 MRI's, blood pressure cuff, sonagram, cortisone shot, anti-inflammatory drugs, pain block shot. I also went thru physical therapy, and home exercises.
I was still in constant pain and not able to stand or walk for more than 2-3 minutes. None of the about test and medicine helped, even pain medicines did not relieve my pain.
The last doctor I went to was the arthritis doctor and he put me into therapy at AquaTherapies. I was a little concerned at first, but I had tried everything else and believe me I was desperate for relief.
After the first therapy session it helped my pain. I have been in AquaTherapies for a couple of weeks and I cannot begin to tell you how much this has helped me. I have not had to take a pain pill in 2 weeks.
I cannot praise their staff enough, they are very knowledgeable of what to do for you, very professional and all so friendly at the same time.
I had just about come to the conclusion that I might have to get a wheelchair in order to get around. But thank God for the people at AquaTherapies they have given me my life back.

A little over three years ago, I suffered a major stroke, which left me with complete left-sided weakness and numbness. I do have use of my left arm, and I walk at home with the use of a quad-cane and brace on my left leg. During my seventy-seven day hospital stay following the stroke, I received intensive physical and occupational therapy, and since leaving the hospital, I have had months and months of physical and occupational therapy, some of which followed Botox injections in both my arm and leg. All of the therapy has been wonderful, and, although some of the exercises and treatments have been difficult and sometimes painful, it has been helpful, and I have learned a great deal about how my stroke affected my brain and body. I am grateful for the therapy and the therapists who have helped me so much.
Less than thirty days ago, I began treatment at AquaTherapies. The benefits that I can feel are nothing short of miraculous! I still have weakness and numbness, but I am finding myself able to relax my left-sided muscles more than I have relaxed in three years. In the period of time since having the stroke, I have never been able to put weight on my left foot, because it would "roll", and I would stumble or even fall. I am actually walking on the floor of the pool without a brace or other stabilizing device! I have also been able to transfer from my wheelchair to the water wheelchair with the help of my therapists and no shoe or brace. That is something I never even dreamed would be possible!
Another activity I never thought would be possible is that in the water, I an able to do leg bending exercises, such as "squats" and "crunches". I have also been able to ride a stationary recumbent bicycle, which sits on the floor of the pool. I simply could not do that out of the water! Since I am overweight, I know that this exercise must be beneficial to my general, overall health.
One problem that has plagued me since having my stroke, is that in cold weather, even in an air conditioned room, by left arm and hand contracts, drawing up toward my shoulder and causing a great deal of pain. Even though there has been ice and snow and extremely cold temperatures since I began AquaTherapies, my arm is not contracting. I believe this is directly due to the relaxing warm water and the stretching that my occupational therapist is able to do in the water that seems, to me, to be easier in the water than out of the water.
I am so grateful to have been placed in the care of the therapists and the for the availability of AquaTherapies. I know that this treatment is making a huge difference in my quality of life. I intend to recommend it to anyone I meet with neurological or orthopedic deficits such as mine.
